Today I noticed that MapBuilder have gotten 6/10 page rank from Google. Sounds sweet.
In 4 months after launching MapBuilder site I can summarize its objectives.
1. I wanna
- decent UI
- code generating features
-
2. I see MapBuilder.net as a socializing service and I recently I made some enhancement into this area:
- see new search page
- Community/group feature has been implemented - map owner might invite users for shared map development with certain access levels(full access, editor, viewer).
- Tags was added to “map” definition. So “Map” and “Location” have their own tags right now.
What is the next? I hope we will see soon.

MapBuilder.net v.025
This question has been arisen after reading So What’s Your Business Model? Mark Evan’s post.
Probably it feets into “Added Data Advantage” business model described in the Mash-ups 2.0: Where’s the Business Mode article.
1. User can add tags to their maps (will be used in search and community organization). See “Map Info” page.
2. MapBuilder.net became more socializing and Folksonomy tool. Map owners have feature to add/invite users with different access levels(full access, editor, viewer) to their’s maps. Log in and check “Map Community” page.
As you noticed MapBuilder continue to be under development after 3 week vacation. Actually it was mine vacation. MapBuilder did it’s job very well.
Right now I have plans to add more new features to move
Meanwhile I’ve updated “About” page with some interesting info.
I’ve just published listings of custom maps created by
That listing contains only maps which are published on user’s sites.
The greatest article for those who wanna to understand what the heck “Web 2.0″ might be. I completely agree with this article, special about Wikipedia. Couple of days ago I’ve got acquainted with its “openness” ![]()
Wish to stay away from the publishing something in Wikipedia.
